To celebrate National Folk Week in Australia all this program's music was taken from AUSTRALIAN FOLK 2000, a newly released compilation double CD from FOLK ALLIANCE AUSTRALIA ( www.folkalliance.org.au ). It features 37 contemporary folk tracks, written and performed by a wide range of (mostly) young musicians from around Australia.  A wonderful sample of the outstanding array of talent to be found performing at Australian festivals and folk clubs.  140 minutes of music for $25 - what a bargain!

All the tracks have appeared on earlier, generally self-published, recordings by the artists.  Web sites or email addresses are given where known.
