27 May 2001
Last night 2MCE-FM held its 25th anniversary party, so
today's program was punctuated by numerous unannounced
visits from hungover revellers wanting to reminisce and
to see how the studios have changed since the '70s, '80s
or '90s. Some wonderful memories were rekindled and
a few ghosts laid to rest over this special
weekend. As the only original presenter still with
the station I was expected to remember all 25 years worth
of names, faces and program names, as well as arrange the
seating so that long-time mortal enemies were not sitting
at the same table - only a few mistakes slipped through.
(sigh)
