The featured album was LE PELEGRIN by TRI YANN  (Marzelle) www.tri-yann.com   This offers a somewhat different slant on the theme of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostella in Galicia.  Tri Yann is a folk rock band, formed in the early '70s in eastern Brittany, and this 2001 album features lyrics sung in Scots Gaelic, Occitan and Breton, as well as French.  It is the contemporary story of Ian Angus, who leaves his home on the Hebridean island of Lewis and travels through Scotland, Ireland, "le Pays des Saxons", specific regions of France and northern Spain.  This particular pilgrimage in honour of Saint Jacques includes very secular references to BMWs, Kawasaki 500s, shooting up and buying junk advertised on TV.  Intriguing album.  The following tracks were scattered through the program:

I RIM BO RO;  JE M'EN VAS;  LE CHASSEUR DE TEMPS;  KEENAN'S PUB; FRANSOZIG;  BUVONS VIN DE CLISSON;  A MATINE A LA TELE;  L'ARRIVEE A COMPOSTELLE
