This is the second album from a gifted singer from the
Aran Islands in the west of Ireland, Lasairfhiona Ni
Chonaola, the English translation of whose first name
provides the CD's title. Although there is some
contemporary material, the sean-nos tradition is never
far away and the fine instrumental accompaniment never
dominates the vocals. Highly enjoyable album.
