'Come All Ye' is a folk music radio program broadcast on
2MCE-FM each Sunday from 12 to 2pm, heard across the central west of NSW, Australia, in the cities of Bathurst (92.3 Mhz) and Orange (94.7 Mhz), and is now streamed as well. Bruce Cameron has hosted 'Come All Ye' since 1976, making it the longest running folk / acoustic / roots program on Australian radio still with its original presenter.

The featured album was WELCOME HERE AGAIN by MARTIN HAYES & DENNIS CAHILL (Green Linnet)  www.martinhayes.com  This is the fifth CD from this highly respected instrumental duo, presenting another grand collection of Irish traditional style fiddle tunes all given Martin Hayes' sensitive and expressive interpretation, with accompaniment mostly on guitar.

The program also included an interview with Steven Taberner, founder of the very impressive and rather weird Spooky Men's Chorale, who will be appearing at the National Folk Festival coming up in a few weeks. The interview came courtesy of Jan Nary, promoting the Festival.

The featured album was TOGAIDH MI MO SHEOLTA (ALONG THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED) by MARGARET STEWART (Greentrax).  A very fine album of songs in Scots Gaelic by an award winning singer from the island of Lewis - outstanding vocals and sensitive instrumental accompaniment. The featured album was FROM CROPREDY TO PORTMERION by FAIRPORT CONVENTION  www.fairportconvention.com (Talking Elephant).  An album of 1990 concert performances recorded live during a UK tour. The featured albums were the four volumes of the OLD TOWN SCHOOL OF FOLK MUSIC SONGBOOK www.oldtownschool.org  (Bloodshot Records).  A hefty collection of American songs, many given new and innovative
interpretations by a wide range of artists.  The School was established in 1957 and currently has over 6000 students, almost half of them children.  The School hosts concerts, publishes and "remains committed to teaching and presenting music that reflects the cultural traditions of Chicago's diverse communities".  A fine organisation indeed.  The following tracks were scattered through the program:

The featured album was DIRT FARMER by LEVON HELM  www.levonhelm.com (Vanguard).  The first studio recording in 25 years from the iconic drummer from The Band, whose voice has largely recovered following a bout of throat cancer in 1996.  The voice is different but still strong and unmistakable.  The album includes several songs learned as a child on a cotton farm in the Arkansas delta and is outstanding throughout.  The following tracks were scattered through the program:
