This was a repeat of a program first broadcast on 12 November 2006, broadcast again
because I was attending the
National Folk
Festival in Canberra this week.
The featured album was LONG LONESOME HOME by FRANK HAMILTON (ITR Records).
A good collection of American folk songs, some traditional, some original and all
adapted by this veteran folk singer who was there in the 1950s with the likes of Guthrie,
Seeger and Elliott and was still in fine voice on this release from 1999. The following

Fermanagh born singer who presents "a nostalgic night of Irish songs
