'Come All Ye' is a folk music radio program broadcast on 2MCE-FM each Sunday from 12 to 2pm, heard across the central west of NSW, Australia, in the cities of Bathurst (92.3 Mhz) and Orange (94.7 Mhz), and streamed as well. Bruce Cameron has hosted 'Come All Ye' since 1976, making it the longest running folk / acoustic / roots program on Australian radio still with its original presenter.

The featured album was GAKONDO by MIGHTY POPO (Borealis). Jaques "Popo" Murigande is a survivor of the Rwandan/Burundian conflict, now resident in Canada. This is an album of original songs in the Rwandan Kinyarwanda language, drawing on Rwanda's oral tradition and in a style he describes as "world blues". The featured album was JAYME STONE'S LOMAX PROJECT jaymestone.com (Borealis) Jayme Stone is a Canadian (now living in Colorado) banjo player and self-described 'instigator' who set himself the challenge of reinterpreting a small and diverse selection drawn from the enormous body of material collected by Alan Lomax, the influential folklorist and ethnomusicologist, to coincide with the centenary of Lomax's birth in 1915. Over a dozen fine musicians appear on the album, leading individual tracks, with Stone's banjo usually somewhere in the mix. Some of the better known participating musicians are Tim O'Brien, Bruce Molsky, Margaret Glaspy, Moira Smiley and Brittany Haas. Innovative work and well supported by a comprehensive 52 page booklet. I recently acquired two LPs (released in 1959 and c.1969) containing music from the early Australian folk revival period, so today's program included tracks from these, as well as an assortment of other Australian folk material.
